Q. What is SOHL Club
A. Movement is a natural, ancient, and quintessential function of the human body. SOHL Club is a celebration of movement, vitality, laughter and camaraderie among women seeking to inhabit optimal health and wellness.
Collectively, we engage the body and the mind in different ways to reeducate the neuromuscular system; relax and move more fluidly; reconnect with the body’s natural play drive; rekindle a connection with nature and physical freedom; rebuild the prerequisites for optimal movement (i.e. joint mobility, strength, and body control); support cardiovascular and muscular health, and more.
And as we move together, sweat together, play together, transform together, laugh together, perhaps we’ll share our dreams, goals, challenges, and build authentic friendships along the way.
Women of all shapes, sizes, shades, ages, and experience are welcome. SOHL Club Membership is free to those who have a SOHL Tribe or SOHL Plus Membership.
Tuesday SOHL Club opens with Julia Crittendon, who focuses on Low-Impact Interval Training! This segment of club time is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout that may include circuit training, the use of kettle bells, ropes, and other implements. This club time closes with Adriena Dame, who focuses on cool down and stretching.
Friday and Saturday Clubs are led by Adriena and/or special guests, who may frame club time within the context of one or more of several possible disciplines (i.e. Barre Play, Interval Play, Somatic Movement, Strength Challenges, Kemetic (Egyption) Yoga, Yoga of Indian the Tradition, Qigong, Tai Chi, Ecstatic Dance, Hiking, Biking, Skating, Hopscotch, . . . and more).
Note: Saturday SOHL Club may meet off site (i.e. parks, cycling, hiking, community events . . .) from time to time.
Participation in this club is free to SOHL Plus and SOHL Tribe members.
Non-members are welcome. A fee of $15 per meeting, or $40 per month applies.
